Dr West qualified from the London Hospital (now the Royal London) in 1977.
His first position working in general practice was in Farnham, Surrey, where he worked at Elmsleigh House as an associate to Dr Hugh
Meyer.
In September 1984 he bought a wool shop in Lindford and converted it to a dental practice and has been there ever since.
In 1990 he converted the practice to private for adult patients but kept the children's treatment under the NHS. He has always
been a sole practitioner at Lindford.
The practice has four part-time staff, two nurses, and three receptionists, one of the nurses doubles as a receptionist.
