Westdent version 1.0
This is a full dental suite with patient details, medical history, clinical charting, treatment plan, recalls and appointment book. It has been coded for Linux, using DialogBlocks and wxWidgets for those amoungst you who would like to know. The download file is an archive of tar.gz extension, a common one for linux users. After unpacking the file in your favorite distro, follow the instructions in the file called Installation, to install and run the program. The operating system used for development was Ubuntu 6.06, this has the Gnome desktop. There is no reason why the KDE desktop shouldn't work OK, the executeable file has been compiled statically which means no dependencies are needed on your system. For those insterested the source code can also be downloaded, you will need DialogBlocks version 1.99 or later, and wxWidgets 2.6.3 or later on your system to use the source code. The software is licensed under the GNU General Purpose License of which there is a copy in the archive. The software can be modified or shared as you want, but modification must be shared with others. The software must not be used for commerical gain under any circumstances. Networking is not supported.
